The Department of Archaeology and National Museums has announced an upcoming revision in entrance fees for three museums, including the National Museum (Yangon), starting in December.

The museums affected by the new fee structure are the National Museum (Naypyitaw), the National Museum (Yangon), and the Archaeological Museum under the Department of Archaeology and National Museums.

Under the revised fee schedule, entrance fees will be set at 1,000 MMK for local visitors and 10,000 MMK for foreigners, while monks, nuns, students, and children under 12 will continue to enjoy free admission.

The current fees are 500 MMK for local adults and 5,000 MMM for foreign adults.
